Lagoon 440 catamaran
The boat.The logbook.
myCloud is a Lagoon 440 based in Nouméa. Here we tell the story of the boat, our passages and the people behind them, and how we run her, like a small business.
01 · The boat
A Lagoon 440 kept like a ship
Built in 2009, delivered in 2010, three cabins and a French flag. Every piece of equipment has its sheet, every job its date.

02 · The crew
Two crew members and a guardian
At the dock, the ship’s dog takes position on the bow, right in front of the logo. Nothing comes near the boat without passing his gaze.
03 · At sea
What the crew sees

04 · Logbook
Our ports of call, our refits, our tips
Passage stories, boat maintenance, fishing and life on board: what we learn at sea, written down for those who cross our path.
-

The realities of boat ownership: time, surprises and mental load
Between the dream anchorage and reality lies a to-do list that never ends, surprises, and a mental load nobody talks about much.…
-

Remote boat ownership: staying in control of your boat
A job ashore, travel, a refit that runs for weeks: the boat carries on without you. Written roles, visit reports, dated photos,…
-

Water leaks on a catamaran: finding the source and fixing it for good
A leak rarely shows up where the water gets in. Stanchions, hatches, the saloon windows, the hull-to-deck joint: a method to trace…
05 · Passage notes
At dawn, the coast slides by
Cliffs, mist in the valleys, then the sun on the sea. The full story of a round trip between Nouméa and northern Vanuatu.
06 · The app
Behind the site, a private logbook
To keep the refit, finances and maintenance under control, we built myCloud, an app linked to this site and used on board every day.
Maintenance
Every due date in the calendar
Oil changes, anodes, life raft: reminders at 90, 30 and 7 days, before anything fails.
Finances
Every invoice linked
One photo, read by AI, filed against the right equipment and the year’s budget.
Contractors
Every job followed
Work orders, hours spent, before and after photos, like in a business.
